Solico is thrilled to offer an exclusive opportunity designed specifically for the innovative 8S hydrofoil boat project from our esteemed client, Edorado.

Internship Focus: 

Embark on a journey to enhance the structural integrity and performance of Edorado's hydrofoil technology. The current metallic foil has control flaps on both sides, enabling accurate and smooth control over the ride. This internship will provide hands-on experience in generating criteria to meet structural requirements and developing optimized foil shapes to elevate the 8S to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define criteria for structural requirements, such as minimum wing thickness.
• Design and develop multiple foil shapes tailored to various performance objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Edorado's team to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Note: Solico does not have CFD capabilities. The student is expected to use the capability available at the faculty, if CFD is required.

End Deliverable:Your internship will culminate in a comprehensive report showcasing three optimized foil shapes: high lift, general purpose, and high speed/range. Your contributions will directly impact the evolution of Edorado's hydrofoil technology.
